Growing Warrior Band fills Disney World with Latin sounds

The Warrior Band proudly performed at Disney World during spring break, playing “Vivir Mi Vida” by Marc Anthony, a hit song representing Latino culture.

“We had individuals from Puerto Rico, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Venezuela personally come up and thank our students for representing their culture through music,” Band Director Gaspar Garcia said.

The band marched around the Florida theme park to show off their talent, and Garcia said it was an experience the band won’t soon forget.

“Performing at Disney was an incredible experience for our students; thousands of people filled the audience,” he said. “One of the most meaningful highlights was seeing our Cornerstone Christian Schools banner proudly representing the state of Texas.”

The band, which has grown from just 27 students to more than 100 members, has learned that music is a universal language that connects people.

“It was a celebration of growth, excellence, and using our God-given talents to make an impact,” Garcia said. “This trip was not just a milestone; it was a reflection of God’s continued blessings on our program.”
