Middle School track outruns the competition

The CCS Middle School track team dominated with multiple team championships and first-place finishes at a March 26 meet hosted at San Antonio Christian School.  

 

5th/6th grade Boys—Team Championship 

1st place honors: 

  • 4x400 relay - Leo Ibarra, Izaak Gonzalez, Blake Salazar, Judah Carabajal 

  • Brice Crow - triple jump, 110-meter hurdles 

  • Leo Ibarra - long jump, 300-meter hurdles 

  • Michael Casares - discus 

  • Nolan Utterback – 800-meter run  

 

5th/6th grade Girls—Team Championship 

1st place honors: 

  • 4x100 relay - Natalia DeAnda, Emma Lucia-Sanchez, Nia John, Ariana Guillory 

  • 4x400 relay - Avery Cuellar, Nia John, Julissa Rodriguez, Ariana Guillory 

  • Avery Cuellar - 800-meter run 

  • Natalia DeAnda – 100-meter hurdles, 300-meter hurdles,  

 

7th/8th grade Boys—Team Championship 

1st place honors: 

  • 4x100 relay - Case DeAnda, Zaire Davis, Dexter Norman, Azekiel Williams 

  • 4x200 relay - Dexter Norman, Case DeAnda, Azekiel Williams, Zaire Davis 

  • 4x400 relay – Matthew Kwende, Isreal Magellan, Case DeAnda, Brady Pease 

  • Raylan Trujillo - discus 

  • Drayce Echard - 110-meter hurdles, 300-meter hurdles 

  •  Matthew Kwende – 400-meter dash 

 

7th/8th grade Girls —Team Championship 

1st place honors: 

  • 4x100 relay - Xya LaGrant, Emma Kate Shifrin, Taylor Hayes, Manuela Rivera 

  • 4x200 relay - Taylor Hayes, Suri Granberry, Carlie Valenzuela, Emma Kate Shifrin, 

  • 4x400 relay - Taylor Hayes-Suri Granberry, Renata Lara, Manuela Rivera 

  • Manuela Rivera - long jump 

  • Kamso Ugochukwu-Okpara - discus
