Fine Arts Academy Christmas Art Classes "Coil Christmas Tree Clay"
November 19 & December 10 | 4-5:30pm

In this festive two-part art class, 2nd-5th grade students will design and hand-build their own coil Christmas trees using kiln-fired clay! During the first session, students will learn to roll, stack, and shape clay coils into unique tree designs. Once complete, their creations will be bisque-fired in the kiln to prepare them for glazing.

In the second session, students will bring their trees to life with colorful glazes, adding festive details and shine before a final kiln firing. This project teaches important ceramic techniques such as coiling, scoring, and slipping, while encouraging creativity and patience through the clay and glazing process. Each student will take home a beautiful, one-of-a-kind Christmas keepsake!
