Sports have always played a significant role in shaping the moral character of our students. Teamwork, self-sacrifice, courage, stamina, perseverance, hard work, self-control -- these values are forged in competition. Our athletic program lives by the highest code of sportsmanship. At CCS, we play hard, we play by the rules, and we have fun.
Asaf Cuellar was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico where he first developed the passion for playing soccer at the age of 4. He played soccer through high school and with Monterrey’s Tec (ITESM). Under their leadership, I had the opportunity to develop under great teaching.
For the last 8 years, I have had the opportunity to coach in different clubs and leagues in the San Antonio area. I am currently pursuing my D license under the US Soccer Federation have completed a few other certifications.
After many practice sessions, games, tournaments, I firmly believe that soccer can help shape and mold skills in a child like honesty, sportsmanship, character, teamwork, respect to authority that can last a lifetime. I look forward to now adding a deeper dimension of development where we develop a relationship with God and with the beautiful sport of soccer.
