Digital Instructional Learning Program (DILP) Hub

This is a robust synchronous and asynchronous teaching and learning program that will enable your student’s teachers and coaches to continue providing engaging educational experiences while maintaining an advanced curriculum pace with course standards and objectives.

Even though our campus is temporarily closed, our goal is to ensure that your child’s learning and development continues through a robust program of online learning. Cornerstone Christian Schools’ DILP is set apart from other distance/online offerings in that it has been uniquely designed to include both synchronous and asynchronous instruction for our learners by the teachers, coaches and campus pastors that love and miss them. In this digital learning environment, we are confident that our students will exceed our essential learning objectives and be ready to excelling their future education.

This experience mirrors the same instructional and developmental structure that they would have in a “live” school day on the physical campus. The structure includes all core subjects, Fine Arts, language, physical education, Chapel, and daily routines. The program is designed with a personal touch that includes daily face-to-face interactions and learning opportunities with teachers and administration. Each component of the digital day can work together or stand alone in order to provide families with a flexible educational experience that fits seamlessly into your home environment.

Microsoft 365 Educational Platforms Showcase

Cornerstone Christian Schools is dedicated to doing what is best for our learners. Hear from Superintendent, Dr. Luci Higgins, how Microsoft 365 educational applications were integrated throughout the school and across the curriculum beginning in August 2019. In March 2020, learn how within 5 days due to unforeseen circumstances, our Digital Instructional Learning Program (DILP) was created and implemented using the Microsoft 365 platform.

How do we DILP?

This style of learning means that CCS students and their teachers are occupying the same digital space at the same time. For example, a teacher could involve students during a live dissection, presentation, or discussion using Microsoft Teams.

This style of learning means students are engaged in work but not interacting with the class and/or teacher at the same time. For example, students may watch a video presentation by the teacher, read a document posted in their Teams Notebook, complete problems through a physical or digital textbook, or conduct online research for an assignment.

Assignments and assessments will be completed online or submitted through the individual Microsoft Teams classrooms.

Regarding grades, assessments are a necessary part of formal education however, opportunities for perseverance, resilience and “try it agains” will be offered to students.

The Warrior Digital Learning Initiative ensures that every student at CCS, K4 through grade 12, has a school provided Internet-connected device in order to achieve the following goals:

  • Foster innovative methods of creation, collaboration, communication, and critical thinking for students and teachers at the college-preparatory
    level.
  • Redefine student-learning experiences.
  • Increase opportunities for analysis of student performance and achievement data through the use of digital formative, summative, and standardized assessments. Improve access to learning materials and digital curriculum for all students.
  • Increase the speed and frequency of teacher-to-student and student-to-teacher feedback on assignments and projects.

Our IT Support team is available to every Warrior family through email, Microsoft Teams chat, or by phone. Technology Specialists are available for technical support throughout the school day. We also equip each Warrior family with training on how to use the suite of Microsoft Office 365 products.
