Cornerstone Christian Schools' Varsity Basketball Team won the Regional Final game on Saturday, February 18 against San Antonio Christian School (Final score 50-49 ). That win pushed them into the TAPPS State 5A Final Four. This is the first team from Cornerstone to qualify for a state Final Four in any sport since joining TAPPS in 2013.
The Warriors began their season 0-5 and had a tough schedule competing against 5A and 6A Teams. Game number 6 turned around the season. One week before district finals, CCS’ Assistant Coach D’Marcus Brannon’s wife passed away unexpectedly. The team kept strong and found a way to make it through.

SACS managed to score and CCS was down by 2 points at the 45 second mark. CCS player, Keenan Stewart, made a 3 point shot with only 2 seconds on the clock to capture the win over SACS 49-50 CCS.
Michael Bradley, a CCS junior, leads the Warriors with about 24 points per game. Michael scored 20 points in the Final Four Game and Keenan Stewart scored 19. They were both chosen for the All-Tournament Team.
