Alma Miller, School Counselor for K-12 grades, is thrilled to be a part of the Cornerstone Christian Schools team. Mrs. Miller earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology Crisis Counseling and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University. Mrs. Miller possesses dual licensure through the Texas State Board as a Licensed Professional Counseling Intern and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate. She works under the direct supervision of Dr. Linda Barron, Ph.D., LMFT-S, LPC-S. Before joining CCS, Mrs. Miller worked in a variety of areas providing professional counseling services which included work in private practice settings, church ministry departments, and most recently at a crisis pregnancy center in the city.
Mrs. Miller has a passion for the preservation of families and marriages and can often be found serving in the Adult Education Ministries Department at Cornerstone Church. She and her husband are also privileged to have co-founded Protect and Care Ministries, a Christian mission in Bangalore, India which provides severely underprivileged boys ages 5 to 18 with a chance at a new life.
Alma and her husband Reagan have a blended family with five amazing children ranging in ages between twenty-three and ten years old. She loves to travel, enjoys big family get-togethers and loves cheering on our San Antonio Spurs! Mrs. Miller believes that counseling, from a Christian worldview, is delicate and important work that God can use to bring about healing, wholeness, and transformation in the lives of His children. Mrs. Miller considers it an honor and privilege to serve the students and families of Cornerstone Christian Schools.
