AP and Advanced Level Courses

CCS offers several Advanced Placement(™) and other advanced level courses. In addition to AP(™), such courses are Honors courses and onsite Dual Credit courses with Colorado Christian University. Students may also take advantage of other dual enrollment opportunities as approved. Automatic admission to advanced level courses is based upon an elite percentile rank superscore on one of the standardized tests used by CCS (PSAT, Renaissance Learning: STAR). Regarding AP(™) versus Dual Credit, students should consult the College and Career Office for guidance. Both products possess the potential for college credit, but students need to know other important factors prior to making a decision. AP(™) and advanced level courses are weighted in GPA calculation.
