School Trips

School Trips

Each school year trips are offered for various grade levels.  We believe that adventures outside of our campus are beneficial to the student so they can gain first-hand knowledge, as well as learn how to lead a Christian life while out in the world.

Elementary School

Field trips are taken locally, usually once or twice a year.  Some of the field trips taken recently include Magik Theatre, Institute of Texan Cultures, San Antonio Children’s Museum, San Antonio Shoe Factory, Texas State Capital, nursing homes, and more.  Our Young Astronauts club also took a trip to NASA!

Secondary School

Washington, D.C

Eight grade students can enjoy a co-curricular trip to Washington, D.C. over Spring Break.  While on the trip, students are engulfed in U.S. History and visits such sites as the Arlington National Cemetery, Smithsonian Institute, Mount Vernon, Lincoln Memorial, White House,  U.S. Capital, Holocaust Museum, and more!

World Studies

High school students have the opportunity to enroll in World Studies, an independent study course which includes an international trip over spring break along with course work requirements. This course is counted as an elective credit. In recent years, students have traveled to France, Germany, Italy, Scotland and England.

Phoenix Dream Center

Over Christmas Break, students and faculty can take a life-changing trip to the Dream Center in Phoenix, Arizona.  The Phoenix Dream Center is a nonprofit organization whose mission is “to serve homeless, low-income and struggling individuals and families by providing resources, opportunities and supportive services to help them realize their dream of living a self-sufficient life.”  While on this trip students worked hands-on with the children living at the center, cleaned common areas, and had many opportunities to witness about the life-changing result of accepting Christ as savior.
