Cornerstone senior Yasmeen Schmidt is a nominee for Express-News Athlete of the Week. Voting is open, and the weekly poll will close at midnight Thursday.

Each Athlete of the Week winner will receive an invitation to the Express-News Alamo City High School Sports Awards on May 31.
