Cornerstone Christian Schools was a dream that was born on Friday, October 23, 1992 in the Chicago Title Company located in San Antonio.
Here is how it happened!
I received a telephone call from the real estate agent Wednesday morning, October 21 at 11:30a.m. representing the Sisters of the Ursuline Academy. I was asked if I would be interested in purchasing this Catholic Preparatory Girls High School. I agreed to see the property at 1:30p.m. that same day.
As I walked the halls of this magnificent facility, I knew God had opened the door for our children to have and enjoy an educational facility of absolute excellence.
That same night I called the Executive Board to my home for an emergency meeting.
I told them what I had seen and after two hours of discussion they voted unanimously to purchase the property. Two days later I joined the corporate officers of Cornerstone Church at the title company to sign the documents making beautiful Ursuline Academy the educational epicenter of Cornerstone Church for generations to come.
Cornerstone Christian Schools was born!
Our objectives at Cornerstone Christian School are as follows:
THAT CORNERSTONE CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS shall forever be a Christ centered and God honoring institution of learning.
THAT CORNERSTONE CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS shall forever have as its foundation the sacred, eternal and Holy Spirit inspired Word of God. The Word of God is to be cherished as the compass for the soul in the storms of life; it is the bread of life and it is the light to our pathway. Its doctrines are holy, its precepts are binding, its histories are true and its decisions are immutable.
THAT CORNERSTONE CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS shall demonstrate at all times and in all things the passionate pursuit of excellence. Excellence in hiring the finest administrators and educators, excellence in our facilities, excellence in arts, drama, academia and athletics.
THAT CORNERSTONE CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS graduates shall leave our school as beacons of light in a generation stumbling in darkness. That their lives shall impact their generation and generations to come with God's goodness and wisdom.
Sincerely,
Pastor John C. Hagee
