Parental Involvement

At Cornerstone Christian Schools, we believe parental involvement is foundational to our practice. According to God's Word, children are the heritage and responsibility of their parents. In turn, parents are given the directive to teach God's commandments. Deuteronomy 6:6-7 states, "These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up." The reason for doing so is actually supplied in verse 2, "so that you, your children and their children after them may fear the LORD your God as long as you live by keeping all his decrees and commands."

In order to practically apply this, we earnestly desire parents to be involved in all aspects of the school. As a parent you can approach your child's teacher or school administration to talk about issues that truly concern you. We care not only about the curriculum they are taught, but also see ourselves as an extension of your home and the values you possess. We unite with parents to communicate Godly principles we all share.

In addition to that level of involvement, parents can be involved in everything from our athletic and band booster organizations to our Parent Teacher Fellowship. Parents are frequently invited to take part in classroom activities, school trips and school holiday functions, just to name a few.

At Cornerstone Christian Schools, you are always welcome to find out all the ways you can be a part of the exciting changes that are happening in your child's life.
